Rubi Briones Venegas received an inbound scholarship as a Peruvian coming to Canada for her masters degree. This scholarship helped Rubi cover financial pressures in her first year of her master’s program, and also provided her with a computer to improve her student tools. Additionally, this scholarship aided in Rubi's 2025 Masters fieldwork in Guatemala!

Rubi was recognized as the first Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee (Inbound) Scholar at UNBC!
