ECRG member James Whitehead was interviewed by CBC's "Daybreak North" with Carolina de Ryk to speak about his research on human responses to wildfire in the Robson Valley. He also spoke about what residents do when evacuation orders are issued and why they may defy them.
He spoke to the types of risks and impacts locals experience when there are wildfires, and how these issues can be addressed with a better understanding of the circumstances, advance planning, and improved trust between residents and government agencies.
